I figured I would have bananas with my breakfast cereal every morning and get plenty of potassium. But my taste for breakfast cereal was much smaller than I thought. So the bananas sat on my table in sunlight every day and eventually they started to get mushy. I tried to freeze them so they'd keep long enough for me to figure out what to do with them, and this is what I got.
If I thaw them they'll probably turn into a mushy slime, but I don't want them to go to waste! What can I do?
I'll just have to make something with them frozen. Which means I'm going to have to peel them while they're frozen!
OW! I obviously can't peel them normally so I tried snapping them in half. But they're cold and I have to take breaks when my hands get numb.
Eventually I end up with a bowl full of nasty looking peels...
...and a bowl of slightly less nasty looking banana pieces.
This looks like a job for a blender.
Now, I have a bottle of sour mash whiskey in my freezer and "sour mash" sounds appropriate for what I have in my blender.
Trying to take a picture while pouring is hard! I ended up spilling part of it as you can see from the trickle.
And I do it again! I decide to just pour in the whole thing at once and hope my finger hits the shutter fast enough.
Much better. I want this to be a sour and mashy beverage so I'm adding one more shot.
Now, to make it EXTRA sour I'm going to toss in a shot of lemon juice!
There, that's how to pour while taking a picture. This beverage would be called the "lip pucker-er" if I didn't want to emphasize the bananas.
Now, I don't have any good mixers so I'm going to go out on a limb and use milk. It will be a nasty banana milkshake.
So here goes, time to blend!
And we have....
...a disgusting, nasty-tasting mess! Excellent!
