Sugar Rush

This week's theme was novelty cocktails of course, but I was short on ingredients. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Yeah. I'm really going to do it. I've been wanting to try this for years!

I was trying to grind them into a fine powder, but further grinding proved fruitless.

I've decided to make the sugariest drink I can. This is fruit punch flavored sports drink.

Now, why not add a pouch of fruit punch drink mix while I'm at it?

And a pouch of grape drink mix!

Then I'll just fill up the rest with root beer, washing the powder away in the process...

I decided this is the type of drink I should refrain from adding alcohol to so it's a drink kids will be able to enjoy. Before their teeth fall out. I'll just mix from here.

Whee, the bits of candy spin around really fast when you start blending.

From here I'm going to freeze it a bit before serving, in part because I used lukewarm sports drink. I told you I was short on mixers.
