Inside Pancakes

This week's theme is breakfast!

Instead of making pancakes and then putting jelly and stuff on them, what if the pancakes could come with the jelly and stuff ALREADY INSIDE? Let's find out!

We start with regular pancake batter.
Some baking powder...

And milk, etc.

Now in a separate bowl I'm adding all the good stuff. Here's my grape jelly.

Marmalade!
Peanut butter!
Cottage cheese! (I thought it might taste good on pancakes...)

And now all mixed together!
This mixture is less appetizing to look at than I thought. Hopefully when we cook it it will taste better than it looks. I pour the mixture into the pancake batter...
...and mix it together.

Now it's time to make pancakes!

It didn't flip over so well and got torn up a bit.
Oh well, here's pancake #1. Or "pancake" since it didn't hold together so well.
Now for the second pancake, I poured in way too much batter.
Flipping this thing over wasn't pretty.

Is it just me or do a lot of my recipes look like they've been regurgitated lately?

I tasted the pancakes. They taste like... regular pancakes. Except burnt and torn up and a little dry. No real jelly flavor or marmalade flavor or anything! Such a disappointment. Maybe I should have added syrup to the batter instead...
