I feel a little sissy but you don't want to see how I would make a patty. Really. It would involve a fish carcass, my bare hands, and a lot of sculpting and pounding.
There's cheese to go with the burger but I've taken to buying whole cheese.
I have to cut it and I'm afraid it will burn in the oven so I'm going to broil the salmon while I cut the cheese.
Now to try to make cheese slices.
Hmm, this isn't going so well. Maybe cheese sticks.
Or cheese squares.
Ah screw it, I'm making cheese hash.
There! Burgers are ready to be flipped now.
I have sea salt potato chips but I'm also going to have plums as a side.
These are easy to cut, you just push out the seed and cut off the stem and it's ready.
Now the salmon should be ready. It's got this white stuff all over it that I'm affectionately calling "fish juice." All the parts are ready, so I put them together.
By the way, want to know what happens when you live by yourself but shop at a wholesaler? You get a jar of jalapenos that looks like this.
Yeah. That's a lot of jalapenos. Fortunately they won't expire for two or three years. Maybe if there's a natural disaster I can live by eating jalapenos and drinking jalapeno juice. I will probably run around screaming for bread to put out the fire in my mouth.
It tasted... like you'd expect a salmon burger to taste. Which is really good if you've never had a salmon patty before.
